Maidenia rubra

Maidenia rubra (Vallisneria spp) is a true eyecatcher in the aquarium.

A stem plant that will sprout side shoots as the plant grows taller. It is best used as a mid-ground bush  and its lime/green tone contrasts well with red/orange plant.

It is moderately difficult to grow well, requiring medium to intense lighting, regular fertilisation ( preferably LCA NP Free), soft, acidic water and high levels of injected CO2 for optimal growth.
