Hyptis lorentziana. Under ideal conditions, this stem plant displays deep purple oval-shaped leaves, with pronounced veins, ruffled edges and a bulbous surface texture similar to terrestrial mint. Under less than ideal conditions, Hyptis lorentziana will remain green to rusty brown.
This is a moderately difficult plant to grow, requiring intense lighting, high levels of injected CO2 and regular fertilisation. Under these conditions it will grow at a medium to fast speed with excellent colouration.
