Looking for a  natural algae eater for your freshwater aquarium? Australian Amano Shrimp (Caridina typus) are hardy, peaceful and incredibly active algae grazers, making them an excellent  clean-up crew for planted aquariums and aquascapes.

Often called the  Australian Amano Shrimp, Caridina typus is Australia's alternative to the well-known Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata).

These hardworking freshwater shrimp spend their day constantly grazing over aquarium plants, driftwood, rocks and substrate, helping consume black beard algae, soft algae, hair algae, string algae, biofilm, diatoms and decaying organic matter.

For best results, keep in groups of 3 or more.
