Anubias nana

Anubias nana is one of the most popular freshwater aquarium plants, prized for its compact size, rich green leaves, and exceptional hardiness. A slow-growing species, it is perfect for beginners and experienced aquascapers alike, thriving in low to moderate lighting without the need for CO₂.

Best attached to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape using aquarium-safe glue or fishing line, Anubias nana should not have its rhizome buried in the substrate. Its durable leaves are resistant to most herbivorous fish, making it an excellent choice for community aquariums, shrimp tanks, and low-tech planted setups.
