Alternanthera reineckii  

Alternanthera reineckii. This stem plant grows long, pointed leaves that will vary in colour depending on growing conditions. In low tech aquariums, leaves are typically rust coloured on top with bright pink undersides. In high tech aquariums with high lighting and CO2 injection, leaves will take on a deep red colouration.

Alternanthera reineckiii is easy to grow, requiring moderate lighting and nutrient rich conditions. CO2 injection is beneficial but not necessary.
