Helanthium tenellum Helanthium tenellum, formerly known as Echinodorus tenellus, is a beautiful grass-like carpeting plant that combines the delicate appearance of dwarf hair grass with the broader leaf structure of micro swords. This versatile species spreads naturally by sending out lateral runners, allowing it to gradually form a lush green carpet across the foreground of an aquarium under the right conditions.

Its fine, flowing leaves create a soft natural look that works perfectly in nature-style aquascapes and nano tanks alike. In smaller aquariums, Helanthium tenellum can also be used as a short background or midground plant for added depth and texture.

For the best growth and dense carpeting effect, strong lighting and CO₂ injection are highly recommended.
