Blyxa Japonica (POT)

Blyxa japonica – Stunning Green to Orange-Red Aquarium Plant

Blyxa japonica is a beautiful, grass-like freshwater aquarium plant that forms lush, compact bushes of fine, flowing leaves. Its vibrant colour and natural appearance make it an excellent choice for midground planting in planted aquariums and aquascapes.

Under moderate lighting, Blyxa japonica displays attractive bright green foliage. However, under high-intensity aquarium lighting, the leaves can develop stunning orange, copper and reddish tones, creating a striking contrast against surrounding green aquarium plants.

With good lighting, nutrient-rich substrate and adequate CO₂, Blyxa japonica develops dense, healthy growth, making it particularly popular in high-tech planted aquariums and nature-style aquascapes
